We are nestled amongst the palm trees, on the backwater of Patnem Beach. Wake up every day to the sounds of nature, provided by the symphony of birdsong and with monkeys swinging in the distance. Our cottages are crafted in the traditional, Keralan, eco-friendly fashion, seamlessly blending with our surroundings. We offer a haven of tranquility yet we are close to all that Goa has to offer.
We are just an 8 minute walk to Patnem Beach and the joys of a holiday setting.
Julia has a vast knowledge of yoga which she teaches with so much enthusiasm, making it fun and interesting. I was a bit anxious about having to teach a class but we started doing mini bite sized classes soon into the course which made doing a full one hour class a lot easier by the end.
There is a lot to take in and it can get a little intense but Julia, her team of teachers and the others on the course were super supportive! And of course doing the whole thing under the palm trees with the occasional monkey or buffalo passing by was a bonus!
In three weeks you will…
- Improve your physical and spiritual practice through movement and meditation
- Teach a 60 minute Vinyasa Flow
- Debate the 21st century yogi
- Set intention through understanding yoga philosophy
- Get certified in the holiday setting of Patnem
- Be a part of the Palm Trees Family hosted by Julia and George

Over 3 weeks of yoga teacher training Goa India, you will embark on a transformative journey to deepen your connection with the inner self. With a small, intimate group size, our experienced teachers offer individualized attention. With no more than 12 students in a group, there’s plenty of room for questions, feedback, meaningful connections and debate.
Whether you’re keen to teach or want to delve deeper as a practitioner, if you’re craving yoga and meditation, this is the yoga course for you. We’ll equip you with the fundamentals to nurture your own practice and gain the confidence to teach yoga with authenticity.
You will graduate with a comprehensive understanding of Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. We present a fusion of contemporary knowledge and traditional thought. You should be prepared to be physically and mentally challenged. This yoga course prepares you to teach modern yoga, pranayama and meditation in order to get work as a yoga teacher on return home. You will teach a 60 minute Vinyasa Flow towards the end of your training. This is an added advantage of our training.
I completed my TTC back in October 2022. Now that I am teaching yoga, I can say that the course definitely prepared me to teach the foundations of yoga, allowing me to share why we practice yoga. The course allowed me to incorporate Yoga Philosophy into my classes. It opened my knowledge to understand the human body in the physical aspect and recognise the connection of the mind and body. This is now a big part of my teachings.
A great aspect of this TTC was the pedagogy of teaching yoga, particularly how to cue and guide students through a Vinyasa Flow. I would recommend this Yoga Training 100%!!

Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Flow
Morning Practice: Vinyasa Flow
In this class, you will dive into a dynamic Vinyasa Flow sequence, exploring the key yoga postures. We combine traditional Ashtanga alignment with modern, functional and dynamic movements. The aim is to connect postures and transitions while working on building strength and flexibility, allowing you to explore new shapes and poses.
Some of the Vinyasa styles we practice include:
- Ladder sequencing
- Peak posture
- Mandala Flow
What You’ll Gain?
You will build strength, flexibility and mobility in your practice. By learning different postures, you will be well prepared to practice and teach Vinyasa Flow. You also gain fresh ideas and inspiration for your future classes.
Morning Practice: Vinyasa Flow
During the first week, you will start with a modified version of the Ashtanga series, gradually progressing to the full sequence. You will get options to modify poses, making them more accessible while still learning the full series. This practice will prepare you to take part in Self Practice (Mysore) classes. Since Ashtanga is the root of Vinyasa, you’ll build a strong foundation for future creativity in your flow.
Key postures you will work on include:
- Chaturanga Dandasana (Yogi Push-Up)
- Sirsasana (Headstand)
- Virabhadrasana A&B (The Warriors)
- Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose)
What You’ll Gain?
By the end, you will know the Ashtanga Primary Series and understand how to flow from one pose to the next, linking breath with movement. This will also lay the groundwork for your Vinyasa practice.
Rocket Vinyasa
Rocket Vinyasa is all about fun and energy. Throughout the course, Julia guides you into this playful and powerful class. The focus is on arm balances, inversions, and creative transitions. Rocket Vinyasa is built from both the Primary and Intermediate Ashtanga series, and it’s often called “Progressive Ashtanga.”
What You’ll Gain?
This is time to have fun and learn on a playful way! The practice provides the opportunity to build strength and stamina.

You will also discover natural remedies and lifestyle practices that can help bring balance back to the body and mind.
What You’ll Gain?

The curriculum is thoughtfully designed and well-structured, blending philosophy, alignment, sequencing, and teaching methodology seamlessly. This balance created a powerful, intelligent style of teaching that feels both grounded and creative.
Overall, this training exceeded my expectations. I’ve come away not only with the skills to teach, but with a deeper understanding of yoga as a whole. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
A typical day….

I recently completed my 200hr YTTC in February. This truly was a life changing experience. The location is absolutely stunning. While feeling so private and intimate, everything is still so accessible with the beach just being a 5 min walk.
Julia and her team are phenomenal, so welcoming and they completely make you feel like you’re a part of the family as soon as you arrive. Their huge wealth of knowledge is so apparent and it’s very clear of the years of dedication to the practice and the craft. It’s an honour to have this passed on to me. I honestly can’t thank you all enough!!!
