Sitting along the river, under the palms, we provide an authentic backwater experience a stone’s throw away from Patnem beach.

Eco-friendly accommodation
We are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment through sustainable practices and accommodation. Made from coconut wood, mud blocks, and palm leaves, our cottages are built in a traditional Keralan eco-friendly style. In addition, we locally source building materials to enable the cottages to blend into the landscape. Roofs are hand-woven from natural material and able to well withstand the occasional mid-season shower.
Our cottages are designed to remain cool throughout the season. Even during the hotter months of April and May. The design encourages natural ventilation, keeping the fresh air circulating 24 hours a day. What’s more, all rooms are equipped with electric fans for the more humid times of the year. And blankets are provided for the few weeks in January when mornings and evenings can be a little fresh. Decor is in keeping with Keralan tradition. Meanwhile, filtered water is available throughout the resort, which means you can stay hydrated and not have to buy plastic bottled water.

We have 12 cottages for guests to enjoy, sleeping up to 30 people. Offering private, deluxe, and family/twin cottages. We cater for solo travellers, couples and families. All cottages have a private European-style fitted and tiled bathroom with high quality bathroom linen and free toiletries. Our 4-poster, king size beds are with fitted mosquito nets and cotton linen for your comfort. In addition, we offer high quality mattresses to promote a restful and pleasant night’s sleep. Each room has a wardrobe with hanging space and a small locker for your valuables.
Our beach accommodation in Patnem is full of thoughtful touches to make you feel at home. Relaxation is crucial and so you will find your own seating area or private terrace with sofa and coffee table. Here you can enjoy your morning chai or sunset tipple.
Scattered throughout the resort is an abundance of hammocks. So you’re sure to find one under the palms nearby your cottage. Whether you are reading a book or studying your yoga texts, you can find the perfect spot to relax.

Riverside Restaurant
We offer beach accommodation in Patnem with a Riverside Restaurant. A perfect dining setting in the most peaceful location with birdsong, butterflies, and the backwater views. We open for breakfast, coffee, lunch, and dinner. Serving all meals at our (fully licensed) onsite riverside restaurant. Breakfast is included in the cost of your retreat/course, and optional if you are with us as a holiday guest.

Yoga School in Goa
Palm Trees Yoga offers daily yoga classes in the mornings and afternoons. Join us at 8am for Morning Flow and 4pm for Yin Yoga. Our retreat packages include yoga classes. And holiday guests also have the option of attending, at a cost of 500 INR per class.
